WORST. COMIC. PODCAST. EVER!

Sep 29, 2021

On this week's episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, Cullen and Jerry sit down with comic creator Ed Lavallee to talk about Pop Star Assassin coming out next month from Behemoth Comics.

For longtime fans in the Kansas City area, Ed is a familiar face in the local comic scene. Ed has been working on Pop Star Assassin for a few years, self-publishing the book through his own publishing line Crash Comix.

But earlier this year, his work caught the eye of Behemoth Comics, and a deal was made. Pop Star Assassin will be hitting the comic stores on October 20, with all kinds of great variant covers.

Now, if you listen closely, you will have an opportunity to win a set of Pop Star Assassin #1-8 from Crash Comix. Listen for the trivia question, and just know that we reveal the answer within the episode.

As if this wasn't enough comic goodness for one podcast, we have a huge announcement. We have been challenged by the Technically Drinking podcast to raise funds for The Hero Initiative during the month of October. We did this in 2019, and the two podcasts combined to raise $2,000 for Hero. We're betting we can exceed that mark this year. To help entice you to make a donation, we have some incredible giveaways that we will be offering up. Listen to the show, and visit our Facebook page on October 1.

Of course, we have our Pick 3 selections, sponsored by Clint's Comics in Kansas City. Whether it's Clint's or your local comic shop, be sure to stop in and pick up your holds!

We would love to hear your comments on the show. Let us know what you’ve been reading or watching this week. Contact us on our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or email. We want to hear from you! As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoy the show.
