WORST. COMIC. PODCAST. EVER!

Nov 11, 2020

On this week's episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, Cullen and Jerry sit down with writer Justin Zimmerman to talk about his upcoming book, The 27 Run: Crush.

The original book, The 27 Run, came out in 2018 and is still available via Amazon, Comixology, or the publisher A Wave Blue World's website. The book can be summed up as Mechs vs Monsters with a black-comedy twist. If you are a fan of Godzilla or the Pacific Rim movies, this is the title for you!

Now the sequel, The 27 Run: Crush, is set to hit comic book store shelves in January. You can place your order now with your LCS, as it is in the current Previews catalog. In addition, the hardcover collection of the entire The 27 Run: Crush series will be available in March 2021.

With a background in film, Justin brings a distinct approach to his storytelling, helping to transform a cinematic concept into a printed collection. Joining Justin on the Run is artist Russ Brown and colorist Fran Gamboa, whose combined output reminds one of George Perez and looks outstanding on the printed page and the digital screen.

In addition, we have our Pick 3 selections for this week, sponsored by our friends at Clint's Comics. Please remember to support your local comic shops, especially as we head into the holiday season. Don't let those pull books pile up, loyal listeners! Buy those comics, read them, then send us a note and tell us about them.

Finally, we wrap things up with some comic chit-chat about Marvel Unlimited and future story plans for DC comics.

We would love to hear your comments on the show. Let us know what you've been reading or watching this week. Contact us on our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or email. We want to hear from you! As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoy the show.
