WORST. COMIC. PODCAST. EVER!

Mar 4, 2020

Welcome to the Jungle! As in the Checkerboard Jungle!

We've got a special show lined up this week, as John and Jerry sit down to talk with comic creator Mark McKenna about his new Kickstarter project, Banana Tail and the Checkerboard Jungle.

If you came of age reading comics in the 1980s or 1990s, the odds are extremely high that you read a book that McKenna worked on. Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and many more, if you name a character, it's a safe bet that Mark has multiple credits with said character to his name.

In 2003, Mark created Banana Tail, inspired by characters created by his father. Over the last 17 years, Banana Tail has been featured in multiple formats and venues. This week, Mark launched a Kickstarter to help fund the latest adventures of Banana Tail.

We think this is a great project and have already supported the Kickstarter, which runs through March 31. Click the link above to review the project, and check out the rewards - specifically the portfolio with Banana Tail prints from the likes of Greg Horn and Walt Simonson. You definitely need more Banana Tail in your life, people!

But before we get lost in the jungle, we have our weekly segments, like our Pick 3 choices sponsored by Clint's Comics, and our updated reading list as we work towards our respective #My500ComicGoal

As a reminder, make plans to attend the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! panel at Planet Comicon on March 20 at 7:30 PM. We will be in 2505A talking comics, playing games, and giving away great prizes.

We would love to hear your comments on the show. Let us know what you've been reading or watching this week. Contact us on our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or email. We want to hear from you! As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoy the show.
